Tiny Tower is a casual game in which you are in charge of managing your own 8-bit tower. The basic idea of the game is to earn coin and tower buxs in which to build new floor, improve on your tower or speed things up. The game has different aspects that allow you to make money and customize your tower. You start with building new floors, each floor only one room but you have two choices to pick from; Apartment (Residential) or Commerce (There are five categories to choose from). To build a floor all you have to do is tap the “Build New Floor” Sign at the top of your tower, the cost goes higher with each floor that you add. From there you can pick the type of room for that floor. Just tap the empty floor and a menu will pop up with the flowing options; Residential, Food, Service, Recreation, Retail, and Creative. When you make your choice the room will start to be built. With every floor just as the cost goes up so does the build time, you can rush the build by using some bux. You define the floor type and a randomly selected floor will be built, there are tons of different types! Apartment floors are where the bitizens of your tower live; each Apartment can hold five bitizens. The apartment starts out empty where you can either wait for a bitizen to move in or rush it along by using a bux to instantly move someone in. Rent is also collected from your bitizens once a day. Bitizens make up the population of your tower. Each one is unique with different attributes. They have their own look, Name, birthday, skill set, and dream job. Once they move in you get to control their life. Change their outfit, give them a job, or evict them. You can either fill any job that is open or you can match their skills to the right job. If you hire them in their dream job, it will increase their mood and inventory of the job they are in, you are also given bonus for making their dream come true. If it is their birthday you get a tower bux! Commerce is where the real coins are made, but you can’t earn money you must spend it first. After you hired one of your bitizens to work there you can start ordering inventory. Each inventory item has its own properties; Restock time, cost to order, and quantity. After you order the item it will be take some time to come in, this can rushed using bux. After the item comes in just hit the restock icon and it will start to sell, using bux will help sell out the inventory. There are three tiers of inventory each unlocked with the amount of workers up to three. The higher the tier the more the items there are to sell, and each tier sells for a higher amount 1, 2, and 3 coins. This is also where skill numbers come into play, the more skill in the shops type each worker has will save you a percentage on your order. You want to keep your Commerce stocked or they will shut down and you will not make any money. The Elevator is a big part of your tower. You are in charge of this, a bitizen will request to go to a certain floor and all you have to do is go up or down to get them there. This is more important than it sounds. If they request to go to a floor that has an empty room, it will move them in there. You also earn tips from each one either coins or bux. There is a special event where a VIP will come that will, increase sales, buy up all of one item, reduce ordering time, or reduce construction time. Help Me Find, is a special event. Here someone will request some help to find a bitizen in your tower for a purpose. After you find them a reward of one bux will be given. Tower Customization, make your tower yours. For a cost you can change different things about your tower; Painting Room, Room Placement, and Elevator. When you select a room just hit the paint button to cycle through different colors of the Room. You can also move floors to your liking, for only a bux you can move your floors for better fung shway. Elevator moving to slow, trade in your bux to buy an upgrade that will make it go faster. To help out there is a notification bar at the bottom of your screen, just tap the icon and you will be brought to the floor that needs attention. Your Bitizens are also social creatures, once they move in you can read about their lives on BitBook, Tiny Towers version of Facebook. This will help you give insight into their jobs, room mates, and occurrences in your tower. There are two consumables in Tiny Tower; Coin and TowerBux. Coins are obtained from selling items, rent, tips, and trading in bux. Bux are the most powerful item in the game, they can be used to speed up ordering, selling, building; but their use doesn't end there, they can be used to fill up a room in your apartment and upgrade the elevator. You can obtain more Bux from tip, bonuses, and IAP You can also see your GameCenter friends towers!
